I've been trying to be more open as a radio host, so I spent the day waving at random people on campus. Enthusiastically. Picture your mom saying goodbye at an airport. I waved to maybe 40 people. About four noticed me.

On a beautiful fall day, after a couple months of 90°F weather, 90% of campus apparently became zombies. Imagine how much you could do if nobody's paying attention.

Go win the day, reader. Do something quirky. Notice how few people notice. Then notice the people who do notice you being weird looking at you weirdly. Everyone wants to be edgy until the opportunity actually shows up.

Of the four people who noticed me, one waved back and laughed. Joy is free to share. Literally no reason not to mess with strangers.
